The Fabric
A Mexican Idea
Cactus fiber is a vegetable material created by two Mexican guys (Desserto) who have developed a real alternative to animal leather and PVC.
Prickly pears grow in organic plantations in Mexico using rainwater and minerals from the earth, without irrigation systems. The cut leaves dry in the sun without additional energy being used. Besides saving water and energy, cacti absorb a good amount of Co2.

Eco-responsible fashion
The material obtained by working with prickly pear leaves is therefore organic, biodegradable, breathable and resistant to abrasion and water. Very soft to the touch and washable with water and mild soap. What could be better?
